Walking And Certain Exercises Can Prevent It
Travelling might result in neck pain and back pain. Sitting for a prolonged time in a plane or in a car can result in stiffness in joints and muscles, back pain, and pooling of fluids in the lower extremities which can lead to swelling and even potential blood clotting. There are ways to avoid this, such as moving in the plane, walking in the plane, or stopping the car and walking for some minutes to stretch the legs every hour. There are other exercises that can be done while sitting, such as knee extensions, glute squeezes, and upper body stretches in the seat. Also, it is not a good idea to cross the legs.
